Topic: “How HR can help Seal the Hole in the Bucket” by Dr. Kalim Khan
Our first event of 2010 is a presentation by Dr. Kalim Khan of Acumen Business Consulting titled “ How HR can help Seal the Hole in the Bucket”. The event will ask the following questions:
§ Is HR linked to Customer Retention, and can HR influence and be instrumental in Customer Retention?
The presentation will be delivered using Dr. Khan’s methodology of a blend of provocation, reflection and awareness, using a combination of situation based dramatics (SBD), Introspection using uncomfortable questions, Videos, Music & Anchoring (NLP).
The Acumen team facilitating this session will be Dr. Kalim Khan, Tanveer Shaikh and Jayesh Talpade.
Biography:
Dr. Kalim Khan has a specialization in Marketing from L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, and he studied Production Engineering at Saboo Siddique, before completing his Doctoral studies in the field of Quantitative Techniques.
He conducts regular workshops and training programmes in areas such as Application of Quantitative Techniques in Management, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Productivity Improvement, 6 Sigma, Sales Training and others for leading corporate houses including Philips, Tata Motors, Godrej, Mahindra & Mahindra, Colgate Palmolive, Wockhardt, and Crompton Greaves. Kalim has also implemented System and 5S Audits and Kaizen projects in several reputed organizations.
Currently, Kalim is Director of the Rizvi Institute of Management Studies and Research at Mumbai (India). This Institution is currently amongst the top-ranked Management Institutes in Mumbai. He is also a Member of the Business Advisory Committee of Central Depository Services (India) Limited.
He is the co-author of two best-selling books “Where is my Ketchup” and “Seal the Hole in the Bucket”.
